Major Kitchen and Dining Room Transformation

Our biggest job of the year so far was a stunning kitchen and dining room transformation where we opened up the space by removing a structural wall, installed a new Indigo Blue Shaker kitchen with Minerva worktops, and laid herringbone flooring throughout.

The Problem

Our clients wanted to increase both their kitchen unit space and the overall size of their living space. The existing layout, with a structural wall separating the kitchen and dining room, felt restrictive and did not make the best use of the available space.

The Solution

We began by removing the structural wall between the two rooms to create an open plan kitchen and dining area. As the wall was carrying the joists from the floor above, a steel beam was installed to ensure the structure remained sound and safe.

Once the main construction work was complete, we worked closely with our clients using our CAD system to explore design options and finalise a layout that best suited their needs. They chose our Indigo Blue Gala Shaker style kitchen paired with sleek Minerva worktops, creating a modern yet timeless look. To finish, we fitted stunning herringbone flooring throughout the kitchen, dining room and into the hallway to bring a seamless flow to the home.

The Outcome

The result is a bright, spacious and stylish open plan living area that has completely transformed the home. With increased unit space, a fresh colour scheme and a striking new floor, the kitchen and dining room now feel connected and functional, while still full of character. This was our biggest job of the year so far and a brilliant project to see come together.
